Our Mission
To provide students with a challenging program which emphasizes scientific inquiry, critical thinking, understanding of mathematical concepts and effective communication using innovative, reform-based instructional methods in a stimulating and nurturing environment that fosters maximum student achievement.
Our Vision
To provide opportunities for interdisciplinary learning with a challenging and rigorous curriculum that promotes effective communication and critical thinking enabling students to be well prepared for high school and in preparation for leadership in the global community.
My Classroom
I teach middle school students, grades 6-8, and teach both Spanish 1 Introductory Spanish as well as Spanish 2. I teach about 100 students and we have an A/B schedule at our school so I see my students every other day. To the right you can access pictures of my classroom. I include a lot of Spanish signs, phrases, flags, etc. in my classroom because I try to incorporate as much culture into my lessons as possible. I believe that teaching about the many different Spanish cultures around the world, and in our own community, is just as important as teaching the language itself.
